There’s nothing quite like passing a circle test with only a pixel of health remaining. The feeling of relief and achievement must be enormous. Unfortunately for me, when I came out of my first long library stay, I passed from first to second circles all too easily, so I was yet to experience this phenomena. I was afraid that the same thing would happen to me again after my last sojourn in passing from second to third. I was a little groggy when I emerged from the library after my second long stay and succeeded in doing not much more than tripping over my sword, Honor’s foot and my own orga-removed viscera. For my second trip out of the library, a little sleep had gone from my eyes, like a bear coming out of hibernation in dribs and drabs, and things went a little better.

First I met a brown vermine

Then a white one

Then a yellow orga

Then his/her friend. This is me handing it some badly needed hemorrhoid treatment.

Then a nice dwarf said some stuff about me over the sunstone network
After basking in the blessings of at least two of the eight people clanning at the time, my mentor and knight that I’m squired to emerged from the library. Blackhole had very generously lent me his greatsword until such time as I passed third circle. I wiped away a tear and handed it back to him. Goodbye little greatsword, May you help Blackhole’s next squire as much as you helped me. My dagger is just plain old lousy for leaning on while I mooch around the town centre. I didn’t mourn it too long though because Blackhole lent me another of his weapons in its stead. A fell blade! I can’t wait to actually qualify for it. My reasons for choosing the fell blade when every Tom Joad, Ding and Healery goes for a gossamer should be obvious. (Ok so they aren’t rangers… I was going for the pun over accuracy.)

Trust me to mispronounce a word like “they” at such a pivotal moment in my life, thus ruining the aesthetics of the picture.
Hopefully after my next long library stay I’ll still be hopelessly too weak to pass fourth circle and the pleasure of the final pixel pass will be mine. Oh yes… it WILL be mine. Mua-ha-ha-ha-ha!
